If you are going to resign from the District, NYS law requires a notice of 30 calendar days (including weekends and holidays) from the time you file your resignation letter until your last day with the district. 100 hours must be taken over each 5-year cycle.
IT IS THE TEACHER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP TRACK OF THESE HOURS.
THE STATE MAY AUDIT AN INDIVIDUAL’S COMPLIANCE AT ANY TIME FOR 8 YEARS.
