CIT_Introduction to Circles
December 10, 2020 – 4:00-6:00 via Zoom
In this professional learning experience led by CIT Lead Teacher/Mentor Christopher Smith, participants will be Introduced to some of the basic elements of community building circles to foster and build successful relationships. This professional learning experience is being offered because it coincides with the basic principles of restorative practices which is a district wide initiative used to build meaningful relationships. Educators will be able to use these strategies to build and maintain successful relationships with students by creating their own circles in the classroom setting.
CIT_Introduction to Restorative Language
December 16, 2020 – 4:00-6:00 via Zoom
In this professional learning experience led by CIT Lead Teacher/Mentor Christopher Smith, participants will be Introduced tothe basic principles of restorative practices which is a district wide initiative used to build meaningful relationships. Educators will be able to use these strategies to build and maintain successful relationships with students by using language that demonstrates an understanding, and promotes positive interactions among all.
CIT_Self-Care in the Remote World (WILL BE ON TNL SOON!)
January 13, 2020 – 4:00-6:00 via Zoom
In this professional learning experience led by CIT Lead Teacher/Mentor Christopher Smith, participants will become acclimated to the utilization of restorative practices while also learning self-care strategies to promote well- being during these challenging times. The PD will also give educators a toolbox of strategies for self-care strategies that educators can integrate into their lives immediately.
