Interested in strengthening your practice with a semester or full year of professional growth that will benefit you and your students? One of the great benefits negotiated into our contract is the sabbatical leave. Consider using this time to enroll in academic courses at a college or university; to conduct research or field study; to create materials or write curricula; or to travel and pursue an independent study. Take the traditional route through an accredited program or try a more creative approach. RTA members who have served in the district for 5 years are eligible to apply. Recipients receive 60% of base salary for the duration of the sabbatical leave.
