Colleagues, I am pleased to inform you that the RCSD Board of Education voted (6-0) earlier tonight to approve a new Tentative Agreement for a one-year modified extension of our current contract. Since this document is a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the RCSD and RTA, it is subject to a vote by the RTA Representative Assembly. I will call for a Special Meeting of the RTA’s Representative Assembly to be held tomorrow. As I indicated in my Update yesterday, we have been in negotiations with Superintendent Eric Rosser to salvage the deal that the RCSD Board of Education voted down on July 8th. I’m glad that these negotiations proved successful and appreciate Dr. Rosser’s role in it. The exact language of the new agreement, if also approved by the RTA Representative, will be emailed to you along with the new salary schedule for the 2025-2026 school year.
