We hope that the new school year is off to a good start for you and for your students. It’ll be a challenging year and it is important that we remain united and determined to improve the conditions for teaching and learning in our schools.
We want to remind you that our Solidarity Wednesdays begin tomorrow, September 14. Every Wednesday, RTA members are asked to wear their RTA Solidarity t-shirts proclaiming that “Teachers Want What Students Need ” – which is precisely what our bargaining team is trying to achieve in the currently stalled negotiations. Please take group photos and send them to RTA’s Matt Lavonas <mlavonas@rochesterteachers.com> to post on the RTA website or post them yourself on FB or Twitter.
Also, please save the date of Friday, September 23, from 4-6pm, for the RTA Social at One Nightclub. More details are in the flyer attached below. We look forward to seeing you there.
