Just a reminder that today’s Rochester Community Coalition to Save Our Schools (ROC-SOS) Car Caravan to Spare Our Students is advocacy against the proposed hurtful cuts that target our most vulnerable students and their educators.
On the issue of the current breakdown in the relationship between the Superintendent and the Board of Education, please see the attached letter from all four unions in the RCSD to the Chancellor of the NYS Board of Regents. We are asking her to appoint the Fiscal Monitor for the District immediately, rather than waiting until July, or assume that role herself as an Interim Monitor for the Board of Education. It is our hope that Chancellor Rosa and a Fiscal Monitor can help to bring more stability as well as fiscal decisions that are more responsible and more responsive to the needs of all our students.
