While we have not yet received a response from the District, the possibility of a Retirement Incentive is still very much alive. Since we have no counter-offer yet, we have asked the Superintendent to extend the deadline for rescinding notices of retirement (submitted by March 1) to the March 28 meeting of the Board of Education (from the original date of the March 14 meeting). Superintendent Lowengard agreed.
If you have not yet submitted your notice of retirement, you may want to wait until we hear from the District – hopefully well before March 28. By then, you will know whether the District will offer the incentive and what are the specifics of the District’s counter-offer. We will, of course, notify you as soon as we know.
