Colleagues, First and foremost, thank you for all you do for our union and our students! It has been a challenging few months so far this year and we are not through it yet! The Action Committee has three urgent requests.
INVITE: Please invite our colleagues, friends, families, and students to the sign-making on Tuesday and to the Rally For Our Students on Thursday. Share on Facebook, call, text, email, and walk down the hall and talk to each of our colleagues in your building if you have to! Our greatest strength is when we show up together and speak up for our students!
ATTEND: Please join us at RTA Tuesday after school starting at 3 PM to make signs. Pizza, beverages and all sign-making materials will be provided. Please attend the Rally on Thursday starting at 4 PM in front of Central Office. Signs will be available. Bring students and their families. Dress warm! Stay Positive! Coffee and donuts will be available.
SUBMIT: Please submit the names of two families from your school for the Annual RTA Holiday Basket Project. In addition to the name of the student and his/her family, please include their address if possible and the name of who will be facilitating pickup and delivery on Saturday, December 14th. Please submit to Michael Tobin at mtobin@rochesterteachers.com. The basket packing party will be Saturday, December 14th, from 9 AM until 12. All volunteers are welcome to come and help pack. Coffee, bagels, donuts, orange juice, and holiday music will be provided. Baskets can be picked up starting at 9 AM from the RTA Office. Please email mtobin@rochesterteachers.com with any questions.
